What if the app can’t recognize my plant?
If the plant photo identifier doesn’t recognize your plant, take a clearer photo and try again. Place the plant in good light, keep it centered, and avoid blur or shadows. The app scans visible details like leaf shape and color to find a match in its database. If the result is still unclear, upload another photo from your gallery or enter the plant name manually to search for the species.

Use Plantum’s Diagnose Tool to analyze visible symptoms on your plant. Take a clear photo of the affected area, such as damaged leaves or stems, and upload it for analysis. How much water does my plant need?
Use the Water Calculator in the Home tab to estimate how much water your plant needs. Start by entering your pot size, room temperature, and humidity levels in the app. The system then estimates a custom watering volume measured in milliliters or cups based on your environment. You should update these calculations whenever you move the plant or as the seasons change.
When is the best time to water or fertilize the plant?
The app shows recommended timing for watering and fertilizing based on species and conditions. Open your Plant Profile to view care recommendations, then check suggested timing and frequency. You can also use the Weather Tracker to adjust schedules, including seasonal changes. This helps you apply water and nutrients at the best time.
Does my plant need more light or shade?
Use the Light Meter to check how much light your plant receives. Open the tool, place your phone near the plant, and turn off artificial lights. The app measures natural light levels in that spot and records the result. It then compares the reading with the plant’s light requirements and shows whether the plant needs a brighter or more shaded location.
How do I care for outdoor plants in changing weather?
Use the Weather Tracker to adjust care for outdoor plants as conditions change. Enable location access, then open the tool to view local temperature, rainfall, and sunlight levels.
